obtain files from damage floppy disks?

possible?

i had a doom wad that was 80% complete on it, but now when i put the disk in it just makes a whirring noise and doesnt repsond :(

out of all the disks i have , thats the one that doesnt work

You could always try scandisk.

Wrap it tightly in cellophane and stick it in the freezer for about an hour. It may work briefly after you take it out.

If not, oh well. Gave it my best shot.

To put it politely, I hope you have a backup on your harddisk.

Well since it's the last disc itä's possible that there'äs space left to repair it with scandisc. but if it don't responce at the beginning, it' possible that sector 0 is damadged, and then there's nothing in this world that can bring it back.. Kinda like Kurt Cobain and Jason Mattew Thirsk.. sniff.
