What's the point of making one when you can already run the original mod with freedoom?

If you want to do it, you have freedo^om to go ahead.

You can use and reuse the sprites of Freedoom according to the BSD license. This essentially means that you can use the assets however you wish as long as you give attribution. So, you could totally make an H-Freedoom if you wanted to.

This is not in concordance with a friendly community. You are free to pursue a mod outside of the project, of course, but it has to be developed somewhere else than this forum. :)
