Midtexture alignment?

Question

Apparently I don't understand how midtextures work. In the editor and in GZDoom, this lower-unpegged midtexture appears on the floor. In PRBoom, it appears here. The same thing happens when it's not unpegged but manually aligned to the floor level. Why is this? How do I make it appear in the same spot in both renderers?

Are the ceiling heights different on the two sides of that line?  Maybe the renderers have different interpretations of what is the top of the line, or maybe my guess is just wrong.

Hm, nope, the line does not border another sector.
