Is it possible to show an intro screen before the 1st map?

Did you open the linked page and read it?

An easy way to do it would be to create a separate starting map for the intro, freeze the player with setplayerproperty and display the image and sentences using HudMessage in an OPEN script.

There's also clusterdefs but I don't know if they can be displayed before the starting map, as far as I know these only work between maps.

You could use a Titlemap to convey the storyline.

But that would lead to an intermission screen with stats, par time etc., wouldn't it? I think that would immediately break any immersion.

@SzuranYou can use nointermission in MapInfo.

That actually gives me an idea for a tiny little interactive intro sequence. Awesome. Thanks!
