DooMBoy Posted December 13, 2002 I'm just curious, what resolution do you have your monitor set to? For me, right now, it's set to 1024x768, yesterday it was 800x600. 0 Share this post Link to post

Remilia Scarlet Posted December 13, 2002 I've got my laptop set to 1024x768 32-bit. The digital panel won't go any higher. I can set it as high as 2048x1536 and still run smoothly, but the screen will only display 1024x768 pixels. I just scroll around my desktop instead, similar to when I hook it up to my TV. My desktop computer is set to 800x600 32-bit color, but it runs a bit slowly sometimes at this rate. 0 Share this post Link to post
Amaster Posted December 14, 2002 1280 * 1024 My moniter wont go any higher. Otherwise I'd raise it. 0 Share this post Link to post
Lord FlatHead Posted December 14, 2002 Funny how almost noone uses 1280x960 like I do. It's got a 4:3 aspect ratio (unlike 1280x1024, which sucks) and is nice and comfortable on a 17" or 19" screen. 0 Share this post Link to post
gatewatcher Posted December 14, 2002 800x600 all the way, sometimes 1024x768 0 Share this post Link to post
Penguin Posted December 14, 2002 800x600... 1024x768 when i'm the mood for maximum desktop space and my eyes feel like straining 0 Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted December 14, 2002 I find 1024 x 768 most convenient for general use, but for games I often use 1600 x 1200 or higher. 0 Share this post Link to post
DOOM Anomaly Posted December 14, 2002 DOOM Anomaly's Screen Dee-Lee's resolution of the screen of the resolution is the 1024x768, and is be being 1024x768 in teh Doom also aswell. 0 Share this post Link to post
myk Posted December 14, 2002 Hmm, generally 800x600 (like now), rarely 1024x768. Doom engines at 320x200 (any) and DETH at 1024x768... 0 Share this post Link to post
Captain Red Posted December 14, 2002 1024x768 for desktop and games. Any higher, and things get hard to read. Personally, I don't notice anything higher then 800x600. I just keep it at 1024x768 for the sake of consistency (some web pages require at least 1024x768). 0 Share this post Link to post
mmnpsrsoskl Posted December 14, 2002 1024x768. It's one of the most common. So I use it. 0 Share this post Link to post
AndrewB Posted December 14, 2002 1152x864 on my desktop, 1600x1200 on my laptop. (glowing) 0 Share this post Link to post
sirjuddington Posted December 14, 2002 1280x1024 in Windows. Can't stand anything less. For games, usually 1024x768. Sometimes higher, sometimes lower, depending on how fast it runs. 0 Share this post Link to post

DooMer 4ever Posted December 16, 2002 1024x768 in windows, 800x600 in doom and most of the other games as well. 0 Share this post Link to post
FirebrandX Posted December 16, 2002 For desktop, I go with 1024x768. For games, I stick with maximum refresh rate resolutions. There's no point in going up to 1600x1200 if you have to deal with flickery 60 Hz. There a screen-saver aquarium program I have that really looks good on the higher resolutions. You can actually tell the difference in quality for each higher res you go. 0 Share this post Link to post
