Boom source code compiling

Im having trouble with compiling Boom and would like some advice on what to do. Im using the free rhide compiler and the latest source that tnt has on the website.

If I were you, I'd try PrBoom instead.

Im using the makefile that came with boom to compile the source. The first thing I get are a few problems with the makefile not specifying a couple items and also the environment is not set. I can get the environment set and the makefile cleared up, what happens next is the m_fixed file has some error where a + or an = is someplace where it shouldnt. After that, more files show up. Im not sure if I have rhide set up right.
