Gameplay doesn't look as good as screenshots

WTF. I load up Doom II and it looks better but not as good as those screenshots on the main page.

Like for instance the weapons in gameplay don't look as good as in the screenshots.

Download a better model pack, then.

Uhhhh... What version did you download? If you downloaded 0.7, it doesn't have models support.

Get v0.66.2 and the full model pack.

Heh, and IMO those weapon models look much worse than the original sprites...

i agree and when u fire the plasma rapidly, it makes your computer go haywire. must be all the flares coming off the blue plasma. i prefere the sprites to the models as it feels more like doom. after all it IS Doom we are playing, not quake :)

Maybe he's talking about the Doom3 screenshots? :P

Im not that ignorant. I played the Doom III leak and the GL tweaks for the Orginal doom don't even look as good as quake but it is still good. It does clear up the pixelated graphics.

The models suck, don't use them.

Heh, IMO Quake looks worse than Doom. Weird, eh?
