Kat's Denial + dsm's drawing skills

Recommended Posts

I recently completed two drawings for Katarhyne. They are based on her kickass story called "Denial" - it's quite long read, but I can definitely recommend it.

The first one is a drawing of Kat's main character Azzazelle, a badass female Werefox.
She was supposed to have a tail but sadly, I forgot to add the tail (D'oh!), so I just gotta make the cheap solution and say that it's behind her and not visible.

The second one is just a display of Azzazelle's weapons. If you wanna know what each individual weapon is ask Kat, she's the weapon specialist here :-)

Great pix there dsm, awesome detail too, now, only if I could draw beyond a 2D Stick man...

Also, me loved Denial, was long, which is good, and I stayed awake and read it all too and wasnt bored and was really impressed, which is really good, and rare too, again, Supurb job on Denial there Katarhyne! ^_^

Heh, talk about detail :P

Excellent drawing as always but I think that, on the 1st pic, the back of the head is too big compared to the size of the mouth.

I totally likes the guns. How much time did it take you to make thoses ?

See title. See others. We've got an answer. :P

/Me looks down forum index
As far as I can see, the title of this thread is the only one which has a '+' in it - can't say that I can see a recurring theme but maybe I'm looking at the wrong stuff :-)
[edit]Ah, NOW I get it! Lol, but I think it's more evident with the avatars[/edit]

Nope, I made this pic from a picture of a fox (Azzazelle is a werefox) and the fox on that pic DID have a mouth about as small as Azzazelle's compared to the head.

Hard to say. Kat sent me a few pics and modified Half life weapon models that I had to draw off of the screen (made a detailed sketch of 'em first) - some of them took surprisingly short time to do, some of the others where rather complex on the other hand.

I don't think the weapons drawing took as long as the Azzy one - the sketches for the first four weapons took very little time to do, but when I had to do the final drawing, I had to be on my guard and that slowed me down a little.

My guess is that I spent like three hours of actual working on the drawing to get the final weapons drawing done, but this was spread over around two weeks I think (I'm not always in the mood to work on drawings and when I do, I work on it somewhere between 15 minutes and an hour - very often close to 15 minutes).

Dsm's combat armors are sexy.

I think the muzzle should be a tad bigger. Remember, canines have large maws, not human-size mouths.

The ears should probably also be much bigger. They look like they are pasted right on top of the head. They really should look more like they are attached both on the top and down the sides of the head. Just look at pictures of foxes. Their ears are really quite big.

The eyes are a really cool touch though.

I made this pic from a picture of a fox
