Doom II happens in...

It is wellknown that Doom takes place in the year 2145.
But in what year does Doom II take place? I couldn't find it anywhere.

Right after the marine returns to earth, maybe a few weeks later at the most.

When ever it is, its not long after Doom, cause since he just gets back to earth and it begins, also he dont have any grey hair or wrinkles that weren't there in Doom so cant be that long :D.

Straight after episode 4, as the victory message seems to suggest that.

Dates for DOOM or DOOM II are not stated anywhere, except maybe in PWADs, and those only count if you want them to.

It may or may not have been stated in a textfile for Doom, but still everyone keeps talking about 2145.

Doom III its not a remake of DOOM!..it just have some old levels that all.

It would be foolish indeed. What applies to one doesn't apply to the other unless it is really there (or clearly implied.) One is a retelling of the other, and neither is telling a "true" or "original" story. So any facts not in them aren't there and don't apply (except maybe in some people's imagination... only there.)

This is one of the ugly things about that ghost some people call "realism", where people try to weave fiction around inexistent "original" stories made up from bits of each independent and different piece of fiction. This is not really related to true artistic realism, but more so to the encyclopaedic "world creation" process associated with role-playing games and comic book series. Generally, junk.

Here this process will fail inevitably, since even while both can be called tellings of the same (inexistent) story, their particulars can and do vary. Even the dates, of course. When rewriting a story or game it is not uncommon to change things, add some, remove others, in order to make the telling or remake more fun, coherent, and so on... and thus they are different.

Uh, I just assumed it was like maybe like a century or two into the future. Doom2, judging by the end of E4 in Ultimate Doom, takes place almost immediately after Ultimate Doom.
