Not seems to be necessary though since your port have decorate compatibility (the parameter still can be used to avoid dehacked conflict with other wads) Edited March 15, 2020 by Noiser 0 Share this post Link to post
speed_your_feed Posted March 15, 2020 DAMN! I mean, this is awesome! I hope you become a famous modder :) I see some Brutal Doom in here, but I like how you re-created the sprites of the monsters and the weapons. Also, the MIDI remake of DOOM 2016's At DOOM's Gate is awesome! Can I get the all the MIDI songs from the mod in the form of a .zip file please? 0 Share this post Link to post

Not sure what you mean by BD, but thanks a lot! :-) As Pablo_Doom_Guy said, it's pretty easy to get the midi files - but since you can get it here edit: someone uploaded them on youtube as well Edited April 6, 2020 by Noiser 1 Share this post Link to post
Noiser Posted March 19, 2020 (edited) The next update - compatible with BTSX - is almost done. This is something I wanted to do for a long time, BTSX is one of my favorite megawads! I already converted all the textures and merged the dehacked from episode 2 in a way that could work with D4V. Make them compatible was hard, but I'm excited to show the final result! EDIT: Update released Edited April 5, 2020 by Noiser 16 Share this post Link to post
Noiser Posted March 22, 2020 (edited) So... apparently this is a thing? o_o I'm so confused and impressed at the same time Anyone can explain how it's possible? Edited March 22, 2020 by Noiser 11 Share this post Link to post

I know you can run custom WADs in Doom Eternal, but I'm not sure about how it loads dehacked. 0 Share this post Link to post

It's merely a graphic swap, if you noticed, you will see that the imp's death animation is weird. I still like the fact that you can play game in game though. DarkShotX45 Posted March 23, 2020 Sounds don't change and pistol and shotgun are slower, still pretty dope tho 0 Share this post Link to post
SiFi270 Posted March 28, 2020 (edited) I'm having an issue with the Heavy Assault Rifle in Crispy Doom. As soon as I pick it up, it starts firing without my input, and the first person sprite flickers. It only stops when I run out of ammo, and I can't even deselect it. The only files I'm loading are D4V.wad and 4_HAR.deh. EDIT: Oh I didn't realize "-nodeh -deh d4v.deh" was necessary for something as simple as that too. Okay. DarkShotX45 Posted March 31, 2020 Hey Noiser, I have a little stupid idea: What about making a different version of D4V specifically made for ZDoom? Like, no monster position switches for the monsters, allowing Map07 of other maps to work properly without fixes, the return of differently colored torches and Nazis and whatnot. 0 Share this post Link to post

DOOM Eternal does not support external WADs, as far as I recall from what people have said. You have to merge certain WAD(s) you want to play with the IWAD in Slade first, then place the merged I/WAD in the easter egg's folder. 0 Share this post Link to post
GooCharlie Posted March 31, 2020 I have an idea: make sure the Hellshot and Reaper will not fire if there is not enough ammo to fire. like if there is less than 3 or 4. so that the ammo count doesn't go into negative numbers. 0 Share this post Link to post
Noiser Posted April 4, 2020 (edited) A bit late to the party I guess, but It's finally here! I'm very happy to release this update. I made my best to preserve everything from the mod, including music, skies, level names and interpics. Unfortunately I had to keep the switched liquid patterns for technical reasons (limitations of palette + colormap). BTSX have a beautiful cyan tone that doesn't exist on D4V, which also uses bright blue and some green for brightmaps.DOWNLOAD: Spoiler This version comes with a separated pack using exclusive D4V files and a modified enemy balance thought exclusively for BTSX, like faster and more agressive cyber-mancubi and slower barons. The regular pack was also accordingly updated with other updates. Just for fun, I added the extra weapons for the second episode on the batch file (and some custom decorations). Feel free to remove them if you prefer to play with the default ones. D4V 3.2 - BTSX EDITION D4V 3.0 - REGULAR D4V 3.0 - MS-DOS (coming soon)DISCLAIMER: BTSX and D4V are NOT related. Back to Saturn X belongs to Sarah Mancuso and the BTSX Team and it was made without mods in mind. I recommend playing it as intended before trying with D4V or any other gameplay mod. SCREENSHOTS: Spoiler NOTE TO AUTHORS: Spoiler I made a big effort to not modify any of the BTSX assets as I'm aware they should not be touched. I converted them to not cause oddities with the D4V palette and colormap (on a separate file). The changes caused by these lumps would happen even without the convertion. I'm a big fan of the BTSX team and my only intention is be able to play it with my mod like any other gameplay mod 8D GZDoom compatibility may be a bit unstable and I consider it in beta state. I will update it later if necessary. There is an specific order to be loaded, so drag and drop is not recommended - you have to use command lines or a launcher. Read the included instructions if want to use GZDoom or other source-ports. Edited April 22, 2020 by Noiser 16 Share this post Link to post

Tango Posted April 4, 2020 awesome work mate, this is as good an excuse as any to replay BTSX :D this mod is kickass Noiser, I really hope to see more mapsets in the future that are built with D4V! 3 Share this post Link to post
YeOldeFellerNoob Posted April 4, 2020 I don't know if this is on purpose, but the chainsaw animations are flipped where the attack animation is the idle animation and vice versa. 0 Share this post Link to post

Noiser Posted April 5, 2020 (edited) People, I just realized I let the ammo count for the lightning gun a bit slower as it should be. I re-updated the files with the correct values - feel free to download it again if you want those fixed. :-) If necessary, let me know what you think about the gameplay balance so far. This version was made with some tweaks in mind. 2 Share this post Link to post
