tgawt Posted April 17, 2020 Any way to make it so the looping part of the door is not visible/ not there? The first image is of the starting room, and the side of the door the player walks out of. The second photo is of the otherside of the door. 0 Share this post Link to post
ZeroTheEro Posted April 17, 2020 Try to make a sector in front of the door and lower the ceiling until it's level with the door. 2 Share this post Link to post

ZeroTheEro Posted April 17, 2020 speaking as a newbie, I did things like playing with sectors and arranging them manually, so that it looks seamless. 1 Share this post Link to post

You can move texture up and down, but you won't be able to stop it from tiling if the ceiling is too high. One thing you could do is to raise floor, but that would also look weird. In my experience, a door frame sector always looks better than just plain door melting into wall (Unless it's a secret). 1 Share this post Link to post

This. Even if the room has the right ceiling height to avoid the door looking weird, it just looks better if the door is not perfectly flush with the wall. Plus you can use the indentation to put light textures on the walls framing the door, and make the door indent sector brighter lit than the rest of the room, so that it pops out visually. 0 Share this post Link to post
Koko Ricky Posted May 5, 2020 Also isn't that door texture like 92 pixels high? That can make things awkward if you're wanting 64 or 128 height doors. 0 Share this post Link to post
