How to change levels on custom megawads?

How do i change the level on a custom megawad in doom 2 using gzdoom? im currently playing through No Rest For The Living and had to start over due to a save error. Every time i enter idclev ## it just puts me in one of the original hell on earth levels. Is there a console command i must use?

Try "map levelxx" where xx is the NRFTL map you were on before. I think IDCLEV only works for the base ExMx or MAPxx formats.

Thank you so much! I typed in "map level04" and it put me back on hell mountain! Thank you so much again :D

If you want to keep your weapons/inventory/etc., you can also use the changemap <lumpname> command. map is equivalent to using IDCLEV - resets inventory to the default pistol start with 50 bullets.
