Bubbleman100 Posted May 16, 2020 It is possible that one day, John Romero, Adrian Carmack and Tom Hall, will return to work together 0 Share this post Link to post
CyberDreams Posted May 16, 2020 I believe that Adrian Carmack and John Romero were going to work together on that Black Room game but it never happened. Other than that, no. Probably not in my opinion. 1 Share this post Link to post

I believe that yes, they can go back to work together, the only exception is John Carmack, who seems that the three do not get along with him today 0 Share this post Link to post
DuckReconMajor Posted May 16, 2020 Probably. Will you like what they make? No. 3 Share this post Link to post
Nine Inch Heels Posted May 16, 2020 I mean... Where exactly are the goalposts now? Do you want to discuss whether or not it's theoretically possible that they can work together? Or do you want to discuss whether or not it's likely that they will work together again in the future? Sure, it is theoretically possible, but that doesn't mean it's going to happen. And if I were to place a bet anything, then my money is on "Not gonna happen". 5 Share this post Link to post
Test Tickle Posted May 16, 2020 Who are those people? I've looked them up and found nothing about them 2 Share this post Link to post
Egg Boy Posted May 16, 2020 The thing is, I can't really find a motive for them linking back up. Also, you can't have Doom era Id without Sandy Peterson, who I doubt is interested in working on video games at this point. 0 Share this post Link to post
Chip Posted May 16, 2020 Very odd topic. I don't mean to be rude, but the chances of that happening are 0/100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000. 0 Share this post Link to post
printz Posted May 16, 2020 (edited) Don't forget to add Bobby Prince to the list, and his fairly repetitive music, which was fine in Doom 1. Really things have evolved since then and you need to be more cutthroat than in the 90s when they made a dream team. Hell, times were fierce even then, as proof that the team didn't last, despite all the fun photos and books (e.g. "Masters of Doom") they spawned trying to show otherwise. The id of today is easily substituted with Bethesda and their nefarious existence of ruining their past work. id may simply be the team of FPS specialized engineers from that bigger group. I would like to see John Romero return to an AAA game studio anyway. He stood on the sidelines too long, spending his time making Doom 1 wads. seed Posted May 16, 2020 Highly doubtful, and there would be no point. They belong to the past of id Software, not the future. 2 Share this post Link to post

You know, like how once Bruce Lee died, Bruce Li and Bruce Le came out of the woodwork to fill the void. 1 Share this post Link to post
