A painting I did of a demon...

Recommended Posts

Wow, thats amazing, great colouring and all that jazz, thats like the reason cave-men painted on walls. :)

As for the teeth, Kewlio :)
And no matter, you were nowhere near a nuisance with me around ;)

Interesting pic.

And as for the teeth, what are they supposed to be saying? :-P

That'll make a nice new enemy for doom3. Cool painting.

As for the teeth, it looks like they're saying "DOOM 3! DOOM 3! DOOM 3!!" or "Buy 2 copies!"

Disagreed, it looks much too cute for that imho. Not to disregard the pic in any way, but D3 needs some really fucked up demons and this one looks just a little too "traditional" for that.

Heh.. that demon is actually about the size of a rat.. it sneaks into peoples homes and eats new borns...

No real threat...

And the teeth as just chomping away randomly...

I had a webcam.. I had an editing suite.. I made a toothy avatar..

Not only is it a fine piece of work, but this thing is simply too adorable.

A cute little familiar I would love to have.

Yeah you're right! It's way too cute having taken a second glance. Not nightmarish enough. Of course i'm not saying it's crap. It's cool.

Edit: Oh yeah. What type of paints did you use? Looks like Oils.

I am amazed. I believe it's the first time he's said something like that. =P

On topic, I really like the painting. Very nice! =)

That is one creepy looking creature maybe if you were to make it have more jaged teeth or large canines then it would be perfect. Hmmm it almost reminds me somewhat of gollem off of lotr tt.
Great work 2 thumbs up :-)

You should go to some artschool, I mean it.

She did. She graduated too ;)
I am currently in my final year of that very same school too.

Silverwyvern, you have my total admiration. I've worked with acrylics before, and it was... Nasty. I'm more of a pencil person, I guess...

I really like this one. It has a lot of potential seen from an evolutionary viewpoint. By that I mean that it seems like the sort of infant demon that would later grow up to be something horrible. Seeing as none of you find it scary, it's more likely to be left alone until then.

If you'd used a warmer color, it may have seemed more as if it were hunting, but the contrasting red background adds to the impression that it's all alone and nothing to worry about. It makes it seem so much colder. More pityful.

I agree. It is wonderful work. However, IMO, oils are even more of a pain than acrylics.
