This a million times. Roger Dean's covers for all those progressive rock albums albums are out of this world. Relayer's one of my favorites too!

Not a huge fan of the album, but the glossy Lynchian deadness of the cover shot of This is Hardcore goes perfectly with some of the themes on the record.

Actually, a bunch of ones that sprung to mind first feature partially naked women. How adolescent. Have a Death Grips' member's member to compensate. Not a pretty composition, but it captures something of the angry, masculine, grimy, a bit puerile, power that I enjoy in their music:

Looks futuristic to me even now:

I love the somehow timeless modernism of this one. But it reaches further back too with the strange, religious looking headgear of the two figures. It suits the music.

Not extreme metal or particularly political (apart from the title track) - I just love this image. Wish there was a sculpture of it one could buy or even a 00 Hornby version, now that would be cool.

Well, I guess I do like the cover of Diabolus in Musica by Slayer as well. It's simple, it works well, and it has a palpable atmosphere about it; although I do think it's one of their weaker albums. But I did get a red vinyl version by mere chance when I ordered it. Apparently there are only 500 copies out there. The only problem is that once I opened it, saw that it was red vinyl, I couldn't listen to it because it was a rare version.

I made a mosaic with some of favourite cover arts. I quickly ran out of space so I may do more of those if I feel like.

@<<Rewind I'm liking your post solely because you're the only other person I know who knows who Patrick O'Hearn is. 

O'Hearn has made a ton of wonderful music. You probably know then of Jon Jenkins too. I just recalled there was an album that sounded a lot like O'Hearn, it was this one:

A huge range of genres here. Very cool.

I have to side with the classic metallers though (sorry...). Loads of Maiden, Priest, Motorhead etc. Nice selection of King Diamond/Mercyful Fate (such an astonishing voice) as well.
