Major Arlene Posted October 10, 2020 So over the last couple of years I've met some really lovely people in the community who have been great friends and have helped me along my mapping journey considerably, so I made maps for their birthdays to honor them. I realized I had quite a few scattered about so I decided to compile them into one place and put them out for the public to enjoy! So here it is- All the Wiser. 5 maps I made in varying periods of time ranging from 4 hours to a month, all for some of the coolest people in my community (at least in my estimation). Dynlights on and enjoy the show! No difficulty settings unfortunately, but most of these maps are not super difficult so it should still be a good romp. These maps were made quickly in most cases and may have a wrong texture here or there, especially when I compiled with OTEX 1.1 and naming conventions changed slightly. They're almost... snapshots of your various visual styles, and any one of them I'd love to see more of. Based on their individual quality, it seems clear that (among these five people) @SiMpLeToNiUm is your least favorite person. The poor guy got a big grey box full of Barons and hitscanners for his birthday. Tell him how you really feel, lol. I loved Eris', Dragonfly's, and I think Nevanos' was my favorite, overall. Quick note about MAP05, you don't actually need the red skull - the return gate can be opened without it. We'll call this a speedrunning tactic. Kachakeño Posted October 11, 2020 I've tested on LZDoom 3.86a. It runs with no problem; but the last three maps drops fps (probably due to the threes' 3D models and portals), although those issues don't make the maps unplayable at all. Using gameplay mods like Doom 3D and PB can make those issues even worse due to the bad optimization of the gameplay mods I've mentioned before; however and fortunately, I couldn't say the same thing with others like SmoothDoom and ZRift, but can affect monsters' position. 1 Share this post Link to post
