NightmareZer0 Posted February 5, 2003 How do you recolor sprites with out changing the color pixel by pixel? (Example: Red demon in strain). 0 Share this post Link to post
Nanami Posted February 5, 2003 ZDoom has a translation feature that you can use, but I'm still learning how to use that... Otherwise, you can open the sprite(s) in Photoshop. Photoshop has the option to change colors rather easily. Er, I wish I had Photoshop on this computer, I'd tell you how. I can't think how off the top of my head. =/ Or, if you get your hands on a sprite that's green, you can use DeHacked bits to change the green to red, gray, or brown. 0 Share this post Link to post
Lazer Posted February 5, 2003 Simple: In Paint Shop Pro, open up the demon. Edit the palette, and change the pinks to the desired colors. (use only existing ones) Save the palette somewhere. Open up the rest of the frames one by one and load the palette onto each. It should automatically recolor the frame every time the palette is loaded onto it. 0 Share this post Link to post

Kaiser Posted February 5, 2003 use Wally: http://www.telefragged.com/wally/ it has a recolor tool, just select the color you want and it will recolor that sprite pic. 0 Share this post Link to post
The Ultimate DooMer Posted February 5, 2003 If you're using ZDoom, then you don't have to recolour the sprites manually - you can do it via scripting instead. (example: green demon and black marine in LTSD) See this thread and this example wad. 0 Share this post Link to post
