what is the best way to control doom

The choices are keyboard only,keyboard and mouse,or controller

for me i like keyboard only

Keyboard and mouse for optimal turning. I really feel like Doomguy is the one controlling the plasma rifle/whatever when I use a mouse.

i tried that and (in my opinion so don't get mad at me!) i thought it sucked  

I use mouse and... a cat to control Doom.

For real, you can use whatever you want. There are a handful of really good speedrunners out there with keyboard only.

And TBH, this type of posts without too much thoughts and nutrition can easily lead to *heated* debates :P

Try @Murdoch's suggestion, it works good for me. I usually just consume however many shrooms it takes to control the game telepathically. This has some drawbacks, like overloading the prefrontal cortex with dopamine, causing the screen in my brain to flip upside down. I compensate by standing on my head, making everything appear to be right side-up again.

I play keyboard/mouse, but I can confirm that the 3DS of all things works like a dream. I've yet to play with a controller proper but I assume it'd work similarly well

You can’t control Doom! If you try, DooM will only end up controlling you!
