I got interested in fractals ages ago and I built a Mandelbrot set generator in java. Extensive use of i in the core equation of that. I also heard i is used in radar systems.

I mean... I didn't learn it in school but just going off of random logic here, isn't there one like that that can be drawn on a curved surface? No idea what it's called but it should be possible to make something like that if the surface is curved.

Bingo! Yep, draw it on a sphere.

 - Start at the north pole. go in a straight line (South) for 1/4 circumference (you will be on the equator).

 - turn right by 90 degrees. go forward (you are going West) another 1/4 circumference.

 - Turn right by 90 degrees for a second time. Go forward (going North now) for 1/4 circumference

 - you will be back at the North pole after drawing 3 a triangle with straight lines with 90 degree internal angles.

If course, you could travel different distances, and turn different angles, and some of those would also be triangles, but there would also be many options that would not describe triangles.

Apparently, spherical geometry is what's it's called.

The ELI5 explanation I heard was: Car exhaust contains water vapor and it cools down while being vented out to the catalytic converter. Sometimes it cools down enough to go from a gas to a liquid and that's when it drips out of the tailpipe. There are other factors like the longer the vehicle is running, the more heated the exhaust system gets and the less water vapor condenses.

Although I have never been flat out bored with Doom, I have some thoughts/experience:

When I first started playing Doom, the main thing that appealed to me, even above the gameplay and modding potential, was the unique atmosphere. I started with Doom 64, which still has pretty convincing atmosphere even today. After finishing that, I played Ultimate Doom, which still had a unique atmosphere, even if it doesn't feel as evil as 64.

Over time, being exposed to the same atmosphere makes it, well, lose a lot of that atmospheric feeling you get, which can make it lose some of its appeal.

As an irl example, I live in Saint Augustine, Florida. It's the oldest city in America, and one of the most, if not the most, gothic cities in the country. Horse drawn carriages, big gothic churches, giant crosses, giant stone statues, big pirate ships, cobblestone streets, and no buildings over a few stories tall. It's like living in the medieval ages. When I first moved here, it felt incredible, even a bit oppressive. Now, it just seems normal. I've been exposed to it so much that it doesn't have any effect on me. But every day, I see tourists who are blown away, totally in awe of how different things are over here. This is the same for Doom. So I guess the immersion factor can grow a bit thin over time for some people.

But since you asked, I'll have a punt. You're probably narcissistic, a high desire to have some form of attention, sexual in particular. You want others to lust over you. I wouldn't be surprised you try to subtly put yourself in areas like gyms, clubs and other locations that gives an opportunity to show off yourself in hopes some people make a move, regardless of your un/desire to be sexually involved with someone. Conscious of it or not, this very post you made is probably related to my theory.

You're probably not very happy deep down, maybe hate yourself to some capacity whether physical or emotionally I have no idea. Maybe you want validation. Does Quakespasm support demo converting to .avi like FitzQuake does? If so how do I do it? I use the "capturedemo" command and nothing happens. I also have the most updated version of Google's video codex like it asks for.
