NokturnuS Posted January 3, 2021 (edited) Start to map a lot for the EE (Eternity Engine) near a year ago and have a lots of fun with it, discovering new things, trial and error, etc. There's now 4 levels completed fully playable, but with no conection between them, so you can play it individually. All of them can be completed 100% with pistol start. This is like an alpha version, there are still some issues, but nothing that can break gameplay. Gonna update periodically with new maps/content, there is a bunch of 80-90% completed levels and some others near 40-50%. MOD runs with the last official Eternity Engine version: or you can download some of the devbuilds versions at https://devbuilds.drdteam.org/eternity/ NOTES: Format: UDMF Maps: 4 (Map 01 to Map 04) New monsters: Yes New decoration/powerups/items: Yes New weapons: No New music/sounds: Yes Difficult levels: Yes There is a lot of resources used made by very talented people, I credit all of them on the CREDITS lump text on the file. If you think I forget someone, please tell me so I can update the text. Levels are hard and brutal in UV, so i recommend you try first in HMP / HNTR, but save often. If you give some choppy performance, maybe try to on/off vsync on the video options menu. I ran at 1280 X 960 pretty nice with little performance drop on some ultra detailed areas, and have a low profile box (Ryzen 5 3400G, 16GB RAM). I use custom palette, so some resources appear with wrong colors, like some menus, fonts, etc. As i told you, is just in alpha an work in progress to update all the resources with the correct index color. ISSUES Some misalignments here and there. Areas with lots of portals maybe slowdowm the game a bit. USAGE With the classic -file paramenter: Eternity -file SomberDensity_V.0.0.2.pke , or , more easily, you can drag and drop SD.gfs file into Eternity.exe CLASSIC DOOM MONSTERS If you don't like custom monsters, found them repetitive, silly, annoying or plain stupid, you can play the maps with only original DOOM monsters. Just grab the file SD_DoomMonsters.gfs into Eternity.exe (in this mode game is way more easy, IMHO). Took a quick look, as best as my chunky laptop could bare with it. There is a weird issue going on with player's health in the default status bar: I noticed that if I get shot my health would go from 100 to higher, but ultimately die even on seemingly "good" state, see this. Advanced shows the correct values. Yuk, this was a transparent color problem, being black (index 0) and used in the status bar.
