timmie Posted February 18, 2003 Cool, mirrors are about as complete as I'm going to make them. They even share most of the ZDoom bugs :) As an added bonus for OpenGL, I added in a bit of a pointless graphical feature for the mirrors. See if you can tell what it is: http://members.shaw.ca/timstump/images/zdoomgl_37.jpg :) 0 Share this post Link to post
DooMBoy Posted February 18, 2003 Wouldn't be the crosshair would it? ;) BTW, good job. The mirror look perfect to me in that screenie. Nothing wrong with it that I can see. So, when we can expect a completely done version of ZDooMGL? 0 Share this post Link to post
boris Posted February 18, 2003 To me it looks as if there's someting on the mirror, or as if it's "wavy". 0 Share this post Link to post
Mr.Thunder_Tw Posted February 18, 2003 Is that a shader on that mirror? that would be so cool, shaders in Doom would be like an icecream on a hot day, totaly the max 0 Share this post Link to post
boris Posted February 18, 2003 Ok, I just looked at it in-game. It's very nice, you can't really see it on the screenshot. I'm not too familiar with shaders, but it's similar to the shiny metal effects in recent 3D shooters. 0 Share this post Link to post
timmie Posted February 18, 2003 That's right, it's spherical environment mapping on the mirrors :) Right now it's just using some texture I found on the net. If anybody finds some nice chrome sphere map texture, send it my way, ok? 0 Share this post Link to post
Mr.Thunder_Tw Posted February 19, 2003 If anybody finds some nice chrome sphere map texture, send It my way, ok? Roger Wilco! But what format should it be? What kind do u need? What's the big use with it? Will it be used in the feauture releases? 0 Share this post Link to post

Mr.Thunder_Tw Posted February 19, 2003 Hmmm realy don't know if I can get those 0 Share this post Link to post
timmie Posted February 19, 2003 It doesn't really matter what it is, actually, so long as it's a format OpenIL understands (eg: jpg, png, tga, etc). 0 Share this post Link to post
