Hello,

I'm a 21 yo skinny dude with 56kg weight, I'm starting in my first job coding, now I'm experimenting the power of money, and buy the things that I want to get it's a sensation that I never felt.

But lately the fast food it's attracting to me alot, and watch all those people with morbid obesity in tv makes me feel guilty after eat burger.

I wonder if I could eat burger or even other kind of fast food every day without get fat, I want to look slim all my life, I am tired of eating grains and egg.

I want to ask here because there's a lot of profiles with fast food related pictures.

I appreciate any opinion.

Echoing what others have said moderation is key in a healthy lifestyle, leaving aside health related issues, eating what you enjoy the most everyday is boring because it robs some of the pleasure you get.

Even if you avoid getting fat, you can be slim and still get cardiovascular related diseases and increase your likelihood of diyng from a stroke, heart attack or cardiac arrest, before being in your 40's.

I think you misread - OP said they want to look thin all their life

Which is what the sentence following that one addressed. Eating these types of foods moderately and keeping active will help with that :)

Remembers me that i have seen a Documentary about Vitamins on Arte.

They've shown a Man with some Deseases and the Doctor had to look up the Symptoms.

It was Scurvy what he had.

The Man had not much money and so he have eaten Toast with Cheese for a very long Period every Day...

Honestly as a rule of thumb, if a food tastes any good then eating it often will probably make you die by your 40s-50s and/or give you 1-2 dozen health issues and complications by then. If it tastes so bad that eating it makes you wish you were totally unable to taste anything, then it's either good for your health or at least not as hazardous to your health and well being.

Also trying to recreate whatever you can buy from a fast food restaurant leads to stuff that doesn't even taste half as good, but at least won't make you weigh as much as a small car, which is probably a bit more important lol

At least that's what I gather from my own experience.

You don't want to eat just any burger. What you want is the new Korean BBQ Cheeseburger at Wendy's. We're talking pickled red onions, spicy bacon, sweet BBQ sauce, and jalapeno jack cheese served with a quarter pound of fresh, never frozen beef. You need this in your life right now. So head on out to Wendy's as soon as you can, because it's available only for a limited time at participating restaurants.

Nothing will ever match up to the Hardee's/Carl's Junior's Philly Cheesesteak Thickburger.

Now that thing was decadence on a bun.

Uh ... what. For a start things tasting bad is part of a series of signals that something you have eaten is poisonous (extreme bitterness is the most common sign that something is toxic).

And you can 100% definitely most certainly make good tasting food that is healthy. Once you learn a few core flavour combos (such as soy and garlic or oregano and cumin) then it's really easy to make almost anything taste decent. And then it just takes a bit of practice and experimentation and you can make things that are super tasty. I'd take my sticky Asian braised beef over anything a fast food restaurant can produce

Yeah, I also recommend an Asian dish which is made of beef, lots of egg, lots of onions, some soy sauce and some rice. It's very tasty and extremely healthy, and iut makes you feel saturated

I second what @Bridgeburner56 said - if you're going to eat burgers that often, at least make them at home instead of buying those they offer at fast food chains. That said, even homemade burgers end up becoming a health risk when you eat them often enough, unless you use something else than meat to make the patties. Fact of the matter is that red meat, while a good protein source, isn't all that healthy in large doses. There are other (arguably healthier) sources of protein out there that you can and should utilize: chicken, tuna, eggs etc.

There's a thing called moderation, and there's a reason so many things are recommended to be used/done in such a way. Eating burgers and other junk food is just one of those things.

Yep! In that you won't have to walk among mortals anymore.

Also...

Solved, a while ago I threw up a shrimp burrito and did not felt too bad after all. I hate fatness.

Do you mean you just got sick from the shrimp burrito and it came out or did you throw up intentionally? If it's the latter, please don't do that. You'll give yourself bulimia or something (idk, I'm not a medical professional)

If it's the former then... It's good that it got rid of your cravings?

It all makes sense now, why I've never really enjoyed eating food, it was so simple!

I don't like the taste of lentil soup and consider it tolerable at best, but I wouldn't exactly call it straight up poisonous, seeing as I eat it because it's healthy in the first place. Poison may taste bad but not everything that tastes bad is poison. So I wouldn't call the stuff that I eat like lentil soup to be poisonous, since I'd be typing this from the afterlife if that were the case.

Not in my case, when I attempt to replicate what I can buy at at the local grill shops and fast found restaurants, the result is a lot better than most of the stuff I have to eat purely for health reasons, but not as good in taste as what it's copying.

I can't tell if this sarcasm is making fun of my reply or not, but I'm guessing it is.

A burger won't make you fat given you have the right genetics, gut bacteria and do move a lot, so don't panic about a few hundred kcalories of waste.

When I was a (stupid young) bodybuilder I would consume a LOT of fast food and chocolate(up to 500g) and still would not get fat as I worked out hard every day - even without steroids. But the food is not good for you in the long run and will age and destroy you from the inside(gut, joints, skin, ect.).

The more good fats you eat the less fat you'll get(up to a certain threshold) - but the fats have to be unheated. Heated fats are in most cases denatured and to be avoided.

So if you have your 1 burger(which is "nothing" to worry about) also eat Avocados and/or make a drink which consists of

-organic Avocado(or organic raw butter)

-organic lemon juice

-organic raw eggs

-organic unheated honey

Drink this in the morning and make sure to not eat any junk at least for 2 hours. Also eat cucumber(s) a little bit of tomato, melon and grapefruit to not become too acidic.

I used to eat pretty badly and be fairly overweight, then learned a bit about nutrition, then a bit more, then went to uni and studied nutrition for 18 months before realising the industry is garbage and is filled with garbage people and the science is all too often shaky at best. Nutritional science is a hell of a perpetuator of the Dunning Kruger effect, people love to learn half a dozen big words and decide they're the ultimate authority on diets... Anyway I'll hop off my high horse, somewhere along the line there I lost a bunch of weight and dramatically improved my diet. However shaky the science may look to be, you don't really need to second guess a lot of common sense food decisions - a big one being that daily burgers ain't the move.

I cannot emphasise two points enough: the difference in how you feel when you take care of your health is worth much more than the enjoyment you get from eating like crap, not sleeping enough to game more, drinking too much, whatever your vice. And even if the difference you feel isn't what you hoped it'd be, there is seemingly infinitely more going on under the surface. Your body, from any level of biology you want to take, is an amazing thing. It thrives when you treat it well, and works much harder and breaks down faster (and more often) when you dont. It deserves to be treated well.

I totally get going a bit nuts with money when you first start making it - I have a cupboard half filled with hundreds of death metal cd's and old computer parts that I wish I could go back and not buy. Forgetting food and health for a sec, you'll quickly find that the little purchases really add up. Have your burger every now and then and certainly enjoy it, but you'll never regret being financially intelligent.

Funny you should mention that. I ate the fried ones just a few hours ago for lunch.

There's a reason junk food is so tasty. Salt, fat, sugar, things we had to pursue for mostly separately in nature for hundreds of thousands of years all in one go. I mean, burgers don't even look like food. They're so artificial and assembled they look like geometry, pop art.

I detest the snobbery around junk food and dislike the artisanal (that word needs to come with sickbags) craft scene that specialises in marketing junk food to people who are too sophisticated to ever drop round the chicken shop. Tons of these places in my city pre-covid. It's quite a class divide in the UK, but then food is always so intimate and personal that what people eat often snakes its way into judgement. For me, living well is enjoying high and low.

But then I'm a pescetarian who eats non-home cooked food rarely and do judge people who eat junk food as an everyday, especially here in the UK where the obesity/T2 diabetes pairing puts a big dent in the health budget. A massive hypocrite then, ha.
