Job Posted February 24, 2003 I've made a wad in Wadauthor and I know that there are some things that I have to do to it, files to add, etc before I can post it or submit it. What do I have to do, exactly, and with what programs? 0 Share this post Link to post
Enjay Posted February 24, 2003 If your level is already working, and there is nothing in it you shouldn't be uploading (eg copyrighted material) then all you need do is include a text file in the Zip with your WAD - Same format as all the other WADs you download from 3darchives. The text file template ftp://3darchives.in-span.net/pub/idgames/UPLTEMPL.TXT info ftp://3darchives.in-span.net/pub/idgames/README.INCOMING 0 Share this post Link to post
Pate Posted February 24, 2003 Check that there is no unused cruft in the wad file, such as old levels or graphics. The final touch before uploading is to rebuild the nodes and reject with ZenNode, as WadAuthor's node builder is crap. 0 Share this post Link to post
Job Posted February 24, 2003 Does a BSP-something to do with this process? I've heard about that but am not very sure. 0 Share this post Link to post

Stealthy Ivan Posted February 25, 2003 Umm.... You have to make sure that it looks good and that no textures are misplaced. Bsp is a good node builder to use, and you could use deutex/wintex to compile shit. 0 Share this post Link to post
