It's definitely part of the charm as it's cool to see people just casually dropping beautiful graphics and just plain having fun, but for those who would to see them indexed i think there's a thread you might like! I just lined up four copies of the cracked wall in paint.net, placed the less cracked wall on a lower layer, set the blending mode to Overwrite, and then just painted over most of the cracks with a soft transparent brush. 12 Share this post Link to post

ShallowB Posted May 11, 2021 I've been working on a map and wanted some small wooden crates, but couldn't find any I really liked. So I made these. They're 32 units high, just big enough to peek and shoot over, and you can jump on them if you allow that sort of thing. They make great barricades and cover in otherwise open spaces. To make stacks of them more interesting, and to make the tops look better when they're at odd angles, I also made these crates with tarps strapped over them. The red ones are designed to match FLOOR1_6, and for the green ones I made an edited flat to match. Feel free to use these if you're also tired of the same old UAC and TNT crates. 17 Share this post Link to post

The texture slots right in, but retexturing a map that was designed with the deepgreen BROWNGRN in mind is not something that is done lightly—after all, it is a color change to graygreen. ShallowB Posted May 21, 2021 So I wanted some more crate variety. And I may have gotten a little carried away... I've been having fun hiding them in secret areas as an extra little easter egg on top of whatever other goodies I hide there, but I'm sure there's potentially a functional use for the arrow crates at least. The two metal crates are still in Doom palette, but I kind of abandoned that idea with the other ones.
