The pale guy in the back could be a Jötunn (Frost Giant) of Norse mythology. And, in a way, Conan would be the equivalent of Thor, except with a sword instead of a hammer.

Yes, considering Howard wrote the one story where Conan had to fight a couple of those big frosty guys.
