MagnuM Posted March 5, 2003 Is it possible to make slopes, angles, or slanted walls in Doom II? If so what programs do you use? 0 Share this post Link to post
Cyrez Posted March 5, 2003 No, AFAIK you need a source port like ZDoom to do this. 0 Share this post Link to post

You need editor that supports zdoom, ZETH? and Zdoom itself. Check here http://www.doomworld.com/classicdoom/ports/ and here http://www.doomworld.com/classicdoom/utils/ Edit: Heh seems that i was 5 minutes late. 0 Share this post Link to post
Epyo Posted March 6, 2003 however, ZDooM can't make slanted walls, and I don't know what an angle is. 0 Share this post Link to post

Sure it can - just that the texture happens to be a ceiling/floor texture - not the regular stuff. Pretty sure he used "angle" as an alternative word for slanted. 0 Share this post Link to post
ReX Posted March 6, 2003 Epyo said:however, ZDooM can't make slanted wallsIf you're talking about a one-sided linedef, then you are correct about ZDooM not being able to make it sloped. However, you can make a slope take on the appearance of wall, as you probably already know. 0 Share this post Link to post

deep Posted March 7, 2003 Epyo said:That doesn't count =p Why not? If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck - it IS a duck. That is uses a different "quack" for a texture is not relevant:) 0 Share this post Link to post
