Currently working on a Doom 2 map based on the cabin from Evil Dead 2. Decided to use it as a fun project to teach myself some of the newer mapping tricks and techniques. It features swinging polyobject doors (with custom sounds), a couple instances of room over room, ramps, some minor scripting. Should be done this week!

I forgot to share other screenshots from my lastest finished map, there is some 'parkour' there, flowing better with the use of a rocket launcher for quick transport around.

I have improved the wall texturing in Reactor.

Unfortunately, the reactor itself's textures cannot be properly aligned due to the textures themselves not really looping properly.

Did someone ask for a horror techbase experimental map?

 

well, have a small screenshot anyways, this is really early on, but I kind of finally got what I wanted, and I can continue working on it.

because it's experimental and works as practice experience to me (Not counting my above screenshots, though they ARE maps made with effort and love to mapping, I didn't want to regard them as "practice") after much time with this kind of mapping, it may not look that detailed or beautiful like how other amazing mappers are, still, I aim to give at least the smaaaallest sense of fear and insecurity with this.

 

it's totally vainilla just using UDB features, the gameplay itself is something you will see someday, as I aim to make six different maps experimenting different things, even if they are small.

ill still post this constantly if I can even when I return to classes, tho.

P.D: I was aiming to make the walls look better with some slopes, but for now I think it's better to stay simple and focus more on gameplay and the goal of the experiment rather than adding unnecessary eye candy, you can see the dark fog here and the horror-tech in use with the limited textures at hand, it's really fun to try this kind of stuff with vanilla, it exploits your creativity a lot.
