Hey, a 7-row ThinkPad is easy mode for Arch Linux. It's a very popular system with Linux nerds and very well supported by just about everything.

There's a decent amount of arch linux in this thread... No surprise that a game community notorious for modding attracts people who also like tinkering with their OS :)

  • CPU: Core i5-4590t
  • GPU: Intel HD4600
  • RAM: 16 GB DDR3
  • SSD: 120 GB
  • HDD: 2 TB

In a ultra small Dell machine. I hauled this one over from work and upgraded from there. I never want a big machine after this - its whisper silent and it throws everything i have with ease.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor 3.80 GHz

GPU: Nvidia Geforce RTX 3700 Ti

RAM: 16 GB RAM

SSD: 1 TB

HDDS: 3 times 2 TB

This one is pretty new and I finally had the budget to go for something more powerful than I'd usually go for. Last machine was a i5-8400 with a Geforce 1060, for reference.

Muh ram: 500.0GB.

This strikes me as odd. RAM is typically designed around byte alignments, How exactly do you have 500GB instead of 512GB?

CPU: AMD Athlon(TM) II X4 635 Processor 2.90 Ghz (Piece of Sh!t, even when it was new.)

OS: Windhoes 7 (64-Zits) Service Hack 10x3.58668879799

ScRam: 8 Gigs

GPU: GeForce GT 730 4 Gig (The only piece of hardware in the whole box that was EVAR worth anything, once upon a time...)

Storage: 1 TB (I look at a lot of porn, just remember spiffy, one day you'll be 40 years old and divorced too...)

Screenie: Roughly 18.5" by 10.5" , it barely achieves 9x16 but it's onn...by Walmart! More junk hardware............................

I've replaced processor batteries and power supplies and fans, and I think one of those is going bad again, the poor ole box is almost as shot as my mind is.

Even if it was 512, that's still very odd in general. but especially so for an otherwise lower spec machine. 🙃
