Crazy Weapon Ideas?

How about Despawn Mines which cause any demon that touches them to cease to exist, with the cost that it lowers your final kill score OR a mine that teleports the demon who touches it to random areas of the level...

Or an acid weapon that blinds a demon and causes them to move and shoot randomly...

Or a ray gun that demotivates any demon it hits so that that demon becomes pacifist but can still be used for crowd control...

Or you could carry restraining orders so that if you can get  a demon served, they can't hurt you but you cannot hurt them...

Or an area effect weapon that will make any projectile fired go off course after a certain distance, OR move in reverse along it's original path...

Or, craziest of all, a spell scroll which when cast causes demons to head toward the exit of the level, or causes every demon to fight every other demon for a certain period of time. 

Or a weapon that kills a demon but which allows you to resurrect that demon to fight for you at will...

These "weapons" could take the form of scrolls, devices, static objects to activate, emitters or mines...

There's only so many ways you can kill an enemy directly, but messing with the rules of engagement certainly makes things more crazy and unpredictable, not less so.

The BFG-9. Takes about 50 cells to fire, but it fires a weak BFG ball that shoots 4 BFG-2704 projectiles in a + and x angle, alternating every 4-6 tics. It then explodes into a shower of said projectiles.

The BFG-9001. It's exactly identical to the BFG 9000, except every time you fire it it plays the "It's over 9000!" sound clip.

Tee shirt launcher: Covers the players face so they can't see for a few seconds.

If it hits lower it wraps around your legs causing you to hop. You can't run only hop.

Antigravity gun: lifts the player up in the air slowly rotating them in all directions for a few seconds. they can still fire though.

Great moving target practice. 

Net launcher: Launches a net and restrains the player for a few seconds. Could be made to make them lay down on the ground helpless struggling to get free.

P&P (Pull/Push gun) Pulls a player towards you till a certain distance and then pushes in the opposite direction very hard.

If while being pushed they hit a wall they splatter. A combination of the Push/Pull in a gun.

Could also be toggled between them so if another player is on a ledge above you could pull them down to their death by hitting the ground very hard or toggle it and push them off. Three guns in one.

I also liked the hook in the Q2 WOD mod. Maybe this could be modified to pin them against the wall (?)

Meta-grenade: explodes and spawns 4 para-grenades, after a second each of them explodes and spawns 4 ortho-grenades, after a second each of them just explodes.

-The Telefragger11.0 + Super Marksman Dart Gun with Optional 8.0X Infrared Scope-

 

A dart gun with an optional scope attachment that is used to tag enemies. After the enemy is tagged, use alt fire to telefrag them.

 

-Pee Shooter + Hammer-

 

Pee on an enemy's head and then hit them with a hammer, or hit an enemy with a hammer and then pee on their head. I tried making a sprite for the Pee Shooter myself by scanning a photograph, but it ended up being too big!

grenade launcher that launches AI grenades that jumps around and tries to jump near an enemy or anyone in their vicinity really in order to explode in their face... like the ones that were part of the chaos quake mod for quake 2 many years ago

 

magazine launcher, when a monster is hit the monster becomes passive for a while so they can read the entire thing

 

random launcher, when a monster is hit the monster is transformed in to another random monster

 

weed launcher, when a monster is hit the monster becomes uninterested in fighting and just walks around enjoying the buzz from the weed they just got

 

rabbit launcher, a hat that launches rabbits that then tears your enemies apart

 

and of course, the holy handgrenade of antioch

The problem is, the suggestions you are giving are for multiplayer, right?
