As the title suggests, what kind of music do you hear in your head when seeing this screenshot. Whether it be from another game, or something you made up in your head.

Get with the times, Going Down The Fastway is the new D_RUNNIN.

On a more serious note, D_E1M3 was my first impression. A track not necessarily spooky or creepy, but fitting for darker environs with a hint of mystery.

The pink sky reminds me of Hell Revealed so it will be "Going down the fast way" from Rise of the Triad" for me.

D_RUNNIN is literally the worst doom song ever. Why anyone would use it unironically is beyond me; it triggers my fight or flight response, and it makes me want to tear my ears off and plug them with q-tips.

Yeah, it's an obscure Quake TC with some great music and graphics, probably best known among Linux folks. Definitely worth playing for deathmatch.

In case you're wondering, these images contain what I like to call 'rough-sketches'. It's basically a map with small details, but like a piece of art, the sketch is only the basis of your artwork. So these pictures are the base of something new.

 

I sit there coming up with concepts based on music more than I actually even attempt making them.

double-o seven theme song

The first image. Something similar to the sax theme or the psx doom e1m1 theme

The second. Something serene with an underlying sense of dread

Im hearing the map01 theme of doom 2,

but that's more because I've been playing so many first maps of creators lately.

I think thats an amazing way to practice mapping. 
I should do that sometime.
