Stabbey Posted March 18, 2022 I hadn't really listened to music much while mapping, but for my attempt at PUSS XV, I put this album stream video on. 0 Share this post Link to post

Nefelibeta Posted March 20, 2022 I just listen to midis that I liked from other wads. Struggle, momento mori, ribbiks midis and such. 0 Share this post Link to post
Red Recluse Posted March 21, 2022 Knightrider of Doom Force of Darkness Last Battle Legendary of Black Sun amazing midis for listening and projects long maps. 0 Share this post Link to post
Mancubussy Posted March 25, 2022 I always listen to either my big playlist, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, some tiny post punk band that no one's ever heard of before or recordings of Michael Parenti lectures. 1 Share this post Link to post
Hawk of The Crystals Posted March 25, 2022 I usually listen to video game music from stages that loosely inspired the map I'm making. But whenever I'm not listening to game music, I'm listening to a lot of music I've learned to love over the years. 0 Share this post Link to post
yakfak Posted March 25, 2022 i also have a lesser-known post-punk band playlist lol currently mapping for totally different games but its absolutely influenced by junk like Glaxo Babies 2 Share this post Link to post
Sneezy McGlassFace Posted March 25, 2022 Depends on mood, but most often I put on Stoned Meadow of Doom on shuffle, and see what comes up. My music tastes are vast but stoner rock just works well with mapping for some reason. 0 Share this post Link to post
JustAthel Posted March 26, 2022 I just click whatever's in my history on YouTube or fire up a list on Spotify. Most of the tracks these days include Friday Night Funkin' songs, a bit of Starset and Breaking Benjamin, or other nerdcore stuff, just something that fills the void of silence. If I have homework to do and I don't feel like I can mentally focus on one thing, I'll usually play a video from my assignment in the background and subconsciously take notes. I have yet to make a level inspired by any of said homework assignments, but I've still got a few years in university to consider the idea 😅 1 Share this post Link to post
BedrockCastle Posted April 10, 2022 2Pac, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, etc etc. Classic rap, mostly west coast stuff. Not much of my playlist was made in the new millennium. 1 Share this post Link to post
Bitchass McGrass Posted April 11, 2022 I'll usually put on SuperMegaCast or GDC videos on in the background, but when I listen to music, it's usually music that I'm thinking about using for the map midis, and usually listen to daily anyways, usually punk or grunge. Stuff like Alice in Chains, Nine Inch Nails, Green Day or Nirvana among other stuff. 0 Share this post Link to post

Toilet_Wine_Connoisseur Posted April 13, 2022 Lots of Dungeon Synth or Black Metal really gets me in the zone 0 Share this post Link to post
Tactical Burger (Old acc) Posted April 13, 2022 i just listen to metallica 0 Share this post Link to post
Faceman2000 Posted April 13, 2022 I generally just listen to whatever it is I feel like listening to - often indie rock or folk these days. If I’m specifically turning something on help my mood when mapping it’s either various Doom midis or the nuDoom soundtracks. 0 Share this post Link to post
The_SloVinator Posted April 13, 2022 Mostly something relaxing, like ambient tracks of literally anything on youtube. But I usually prefer podcasts in the background. 1 Share this post Link to post
SplinkWizard Posted April 13, 2022 Mostly listen to Jazz music, mostly stuff similar to Pat Metheny. It keeps me calm when I have trouble trying to do a map trick. 0 Share this post Link to post
horselessheadsman Posted April 13, 2022 I usually have the music for the map I'm making playing, when I eventually get tired of listening to the same thing over and over I turn on video game music. 0 Share this post Link to post
Thelokk Posted April 19, 2022 Digitally Imported, usually either the chillout or the ambient channel. 0 Share this post Link to post
