To arms!

ScubaSteve and Fredrik have both made arms for Samus in the Metroid TC project and we have a picture of each. Which do you feel should make the final cut and be included in the TC? What follows is the sprite each has submitted as Samus' arm which fires the default power beam. (this poll closes this coming Monday)

That's a really difficult choice. Both are top-notch work. But I'd have to go with Fredrik's. Good job both of you!

I like Steve's. It's more like the classic Super Metroid in my opinion...

I vote Steve's. Fred's submission, while a nice looking gun, looks kinda flat to me. Steve's looks more three-dimensional.

ScevaStube gets my vote.

This is really difficult. I like both a lot, but I'll go with Fredrik's submission. But it might have to look a little more 3d. It looks a little flat like said before.

Both are wonderfully done.. but after some long though.. yeah.. Steve's is more metroidy...

Even though fredrik's oozes with coolness all the same.

ScubaSteve's entry looks more rounded and realistic, though Fredrik's is pretty cool as well. Both of them will do fine.

I would have to say Steve's, it does seem more like the classic Metroid arm.

Jees, while others are desparetly looking for artists you get to pick out the candidates... lucky bastard...

Anyhow: Fredrik's image doesn't really look that flat to me, it's just that Steve's looks MORE 3D.
Fredrik's looks more hmmm... bad-ass, so I'd have to pick his.

I must admit I've never actually played Metroid though...

Both look kick ass. Tough decision. I think I like the cylindrical look of Scuba Steve's better.

Scuba Steves. But you could also Fredrik's as the missle launcer.

REALLY tough call. I like frederiks, But Scubasteves was more rounded and has more depth. On the downside Steves also more looks like the cannon Mega man should have, not Samus. Hmm.... Shit I dunno. I'll go with frederiks, cause it feels more like Metroid. I'm sure he'll give it more depth for the final work :)

I kinda like Fredrik's because of the look of it. I like how it's not quite as round as the other. Mind you, both look great, but I just prefer Fredrik's.

Just "giving more depth" might not be all easy :P

I like ScubaSteve's the most, but Fredrik's is great too. Maybe it could be different weapon...?

Here's some shots of what they look like ingame. I don't think Fredrik's looks flat one bit.

Dammit! They're both so good. Scuba's looks more metroid-ish but fredrik's one looks so cool. Eek!

why not add both : 1 for normal shot and 1 for missile ? Worked like that in the nes version.

Ahhh.. ingame it looks much better. I take back what I said about frederiks looking flat.

Yeah. Somehow, Scuba Steve's model seems to fit in more with Doom.
