Tormentor667 Posted May 27, 2003 Does anyone have some latest screenshots of ZDoomGLs latest features? (skybox, flatblending, mirror, etc.) The more the better ;) 0 Share this post Link to post
Tormentor667 Posted May 27, 2003 Because I'm fucking lazy and want to have some full-potential preference before I download ZDoomGL! 0 Share this post Link to post
timmie Posted May 27, 2003 http://timmie.squabble.org/screenshots/zdoomgl_44.jpg - I can't remember which map this is ;P http://timmie.squabble.org/screenshots/zdoomgl_42.jpg - enhanced mirror demo with recursive mirrors http://timmie.squabble.org/screenshots/zdoomgl_41.jpg - Zort09 skybox shot http://timmie.squabble.org/screenshots/zdoomgl_40.jpg - dmc_dm2p map02 mirrors http://timmie.squabble.org/screenshots/ is browsable and contains all the screenshots I've ever released. The last one (#47) is fbase5 showing the fixed flat rotation/scaling/etc in 0.75. No screenshots of flat blending since it really doesn't show up well in screenshots at all. You have to see it in motion :) 0 Share this post Link to post
Amaster Posted May 27, 2003 While we're on the subject of eye candy. What happened to the "glint" effect on mirrors? I remember seeing screenies of it not long ago. I have the latest version btw. 0 Share this post Link to post
timmie Posted May 27, 2003 In your zdoomgl installation, do you have the folder "textures/common"? There should be a file in there ("env.jpg"), which is the environment map. If it's there, make sure you have gl_mirror_envmap set to 1. 0 Share this post Link to post
boris Posted May 27, 2003 Heh the texture blending looks rather bad on the swinging fan in FBase5 :) 0 Share this post Link to post
insertwackynamehere Posted May 27, 2003 These shots look pretty damn nice. 0 Share this post Link to post

I had alpha testing on for the blended image so it wouldn't draw the first couple frames and it would look all jumpy. Now it looks more like some bad attempt at motion blurring :) 0 Share this post Link to post
boris Posted May 27, 2003 Yes, with the latest beta. I guess it'd look better if the animation had more frames. 0 Share this post Link to post

Oh well. :( 0 Share this post Link to post
LorD BaZTArD Posted May 28, 2003 ok, quick question timmie, I just picked up ZdoomGL .74, and I load it up and get this error http://www.webone.com.au/~xu/DOOM0000.png It's really strange, do you know what could be causing it and how to fix it? 0 Share this post Link to post
LorD BaZTArD Posted May 28, 2003 Oh whoops, I kinda forgot I use such a high resolution for Zdoom. Sorry if it's too big, I'll see if I can get a small one up tomorrow if needed. 0 Share this post Link to post
boris Posted May 28, 2003 Doesn't ANYBODY read the other threads before posting? This looks like the 8503945809th time in the last couple days that the clipping is wrong. 0 Share this post Link to post
