gatewatcher Posted June 23, 2003 OT: Is there a program that allows you to view .tgV files? .tga files are used by EA in older games, I.E. Privateer II. 0 Share this post Link to post

fraggle Posted June 23, 2003 In a .exe, each program will likely store its images in a different way. So there isnt really any generic way to "extract images from exe files". If you could be more specific we might be able to help. What exe file are you trying to extract images from? 0 Share this post Link to post
gatewatcher Posted June 23, 2003 tga is a movie format... oops, I mean tgv. D'oh. Edit: found one =) 0 Share this post Link to post
IMJack Posted June 23, 2003 Is there a specific game you're trying to rip resources from? Different games would have different formats, and they ain't all in the exe. 0 Share this post Link to post
Lord FlatHead Posted June 23, 2003 Take One. It's a really old, crusty, stupid piece of software to make animated .GIFs, but it should do what you want as well. 0 Share this post Link to post
999cop Posted June 23, 2003 .exe is not an image format as far as I know, or I might've missed something. 0 Share this post Link to post
Bloodshedder Posted June 23, 2003 You do not realize what you have missed. 0 Share this post Link to post
Jonathan Posted June 23, 2003 If you are using Microsoft Windows then images stored literally within an .EXE are called "resources", resource hacker is a good program for viewing and extracting them. 0 Share this post Link to post
BlueSonnet Posted June 23, 2003 Winrar works on certain exe files. Dunno if it'll work on your exe file though. 0 Share this post Link to post

No, you can't extract back from a Game Maker exe, i've tried and it's not possible. 0 Share this post Link to post
