Greetings again, sire. I remember you from several months ago. I must say the composite pic looks great. (I'm assuming they're from RTCW.) I'm always looking for new themes for which to do maps. I'd be happy to feature you prominently in the credits if you'd let me use your pics.

the graphics are based on RTCW, but are made entirley from scratch (with the exception of the stone wall, which is taken from Hexen/Heretic).

If you contact my AIM username (The Unholy Turd) I will gladly send you some of my work to use in your level.

I don't have specific plans for a level (or level set) yet. But looking at your graphics gave me plenty of ideas. Do you have a site where you present all the graphics you have made? I could browse the site and come up with all sorts of ideas for design, architecture, and gameplay. (For examples of TCs/PCs that I've produced, visit my site: Piper at the Gates of DooM.)

When you say "sorted out" do you mean you intend to screen the graphics, and only selectively include them into your wad?

More or less.

I have a lot of flags that need to be put in (all flags are originally VERY big, ranging from 1000 pixles upwards!), and a few Hitler portraits. Nothing too big.

Good news indeed. Let me know when you're fixing to send it out, as I might need to clear out my mail box to make some more space. How big is the wad or zip file? Also, is there any way you can post it on the Bedslam Asylum, and allow users to download it from there? That way I won't need to mess with my mail box.

You probably know that the swastika is an ancient Hindu symbol, adopted by the central Asians and Europeans that settled most of North India some 3,000 years ago. These "invaders" were the Aryans, (hence the association with the Nazis to that term), who assimilated their own beliefs with the rituals and philosophies of the native peoples. Hinduism has been around for 4,500 years. The word swastika is derived from the Sanskrit means, "conducive to well- being". S-vasti in Sanskrit is "It's well"

The Hindu swastika is typically portrayed counterclockwise, while the symbol adopted by the National Socialist German Workers' Party is counterclockwise. Edit: As Nick points out in the next post, this should read "the symbol adopted by the {Nazi} party is clockwise".

More information on swastikas than you can shake a stick at. And probably more than you were interested in getting.

You could just upload them to the archives and let the community have them. You would not need a site that way if you don't already have one. From what I remember of them they are hi class graphics so I am sure several mappers could/would use them.

Could you PM me that WAD if you haven't uploaded it to the archives yet? I'd like to take a look at it.

It's work noting the the original Hindu version of the swastika, usually called a Manji, is made up of four 7's, and because of that some Churches actually used this as a symbol for God. (7 being the symbol for perfection and God.)


Something that's interesting to know is that Nintendo actually had the balls to make one of the labryniths in the original Legend of Zelda for the NES in the design of the Manji. Kudos, guys.

Excellent idea to release your resources to the public at large. Do as Searcher suggests, and upload them to /incoming. The wad will get maximum exposure that way.
