Buying new computer??

Hey this might get bumped into tech but fuck it what the hell theres more people on here anyway.
Right now I can sell my current computer which is a p3 650 blah blah shitbox for $420 and I know of a XP2000 k7motherboard 256ram ATI radeon 7500 40gig DH burner and so on for 800$ by the way this is in Canadian Dollars now if I sell my computer I will then have $950 so should I bother with the XP2000 will it keep me gaming for awhile if i jack it up to a 512ram?

Doom3 will not require anything higher than a Trident 1meg Video card.

System sounds fine, save the Radeon 7500. Bump the RAM to 512MB or even more, and tack on a Radeon 9100 or 95/9500 and you'd be doing great for current games, and passably for Doom III.

That's impressive, considering you can get a new computer which is twice as fast for $420 in the hardware store (not counting a monitor). The person who's buying your old computer obviously doesn't have a clue.
