They caught another of the top Iraqi officials today. GJ coalition.

After Bush declared the end of hostilities from his aircraft carrier all POW's should be released, so this guy shouldn't even have been taken prisoner. The Geneva Convention states: Article 118

Prisoners of war shall be released and repatriated without delay after the cessation of active hostilities.

But of course bush and his cronies seem to, once again, ignore all the rules of civilised conduct and rules of war, but sure scream a lot if someone else seems to ignore one rule...the fuss about soldiers being shown on tv etc.

But fod, remember, there still is active hostilities, not from the U.S., but from Iraqis.

That might be a while, since there's plenty of Baa'th loyalists willing to attack coalition troops

That article also only applies to prisoners who aren't guilty of war crimes.
