virus scanner

Can anyone tell me where I can download a good and free virus scanner?
My computer hasn't been feeling too great lately :-(

So far it seems OK, but it hasn't actually been exposed to a virus on my system yet.

The one DooMBoy linked to is supposed to be pretty good from what I hear.

the doomboy link is what i use, infact it may have been me who recommened it to him. i've been useing it for over a year with no issues. only by my mistake have i gotten a virus. i got it cause norton sucks balls. it does a better job protecting my windows based system. however its days ar enumbered, once i build my 64 bit system windows will not be installed (only my laptop will use it)

I think it's lying because it said I have no viruses, and yet I have no anti-virus software. Hmm...

I have no viruses and no antivirus software.

Same here.

I have all the latest virus definitions and cleaning tools, yet I still have the two-year-old Lovgate@f.M virus after however many detections, cleanings, and downloaded apps.

norton fails to detect alot of stuff, AVG has caught 98% of all atempts on my system. only ones that got in where ultra new viruses, or purposely opened virus files (to test)

however i am now looking for a good one for linux and BSD systems
