It sounds very far-fetched and baseless (NPI). Not to pass judgment on things we don't understand, but it sounds like they're just pulling an explatanion out of their cavity.

They provide absolutely no explanation as to how extremely low bass can open and close drawers, and cause chain-rattling sounds. That should be enough to make people pish tosh.

Also, the lower the bass, the less frequently the waveform vibrates, therefore the weaker the signal. It takes an incredible amount of energy to produce any sort of sound or impact at bass levels below 5Hz, or whatever low Hz level you want to look at.

When you shake your hand back and forth beside your ear (or wherever) exactly twice per second, you are producing 2Hz bass. Yet it's just so weak and insignificant a vibration that there's nothing to hear.

The lower the bass, the weaker the effect on the surroundings. To produce an "infrasound" effect that matters in any way, you would have to have something akin to a huge slab of metal, like several hundred pounds, vibrating back and forth over a span of several feet at, say, 2 times per seconds, against air resistance. Imagine the energy needed to move a huge mass of material back and forth several feet at such a rate. There would need to be something just like that in the near physical surroundings to produce "infrasound." And they have absolutely no explanation or theory as to how such infrasound could be produced.

It could just be a paranoid schizophrenic hallucination attributable to the emotion altering effects of this "infrasound"

To attribute it to a hallucination, you would have to explain why several people experienced the same "hallucination" at the same time. Also, you would have to establish a link between low-frequency air movement and hallucinations.

Otherwise, your theory is just as much swiss cheese as their theory.

YES! Mass Hysteria is when someone says something like 'Hey I think the government is poisoning us' then someone gets a whif of some chemical underneath their sink and tells everyone else. Then everyone else, having already heard someone say something about a chemical smell and a gas attack, actualy believe they are smelling something too, and that its some kind of mind control poison or something. Pretty soon everyone is runnign around panicking.

One recent example I can remember or mass hysteria happened at a school somewhere. First, there was some kid who went home sick, and then a couple more the next day. Pretty soon there was a steady stream of kids being sent home sick. The health department noticed and shut the school down. They ran samples of everyhting but couldnt find any germs or mold spores or anything that would cause illness in the entire school, so they reopened it. Pretty soon, kids were getting sick again. Turns out it was just mass hysteria. A few kids went home sick within the span of a couple days, so the rumor mill started going about among the students that there was some kind of bad, highly infectious cold going around. So they all thought they had caught it and developed psychosomatic illnesses (which is, when you become sick because you actualy believe you are).

So yeah, thats pretty much what a lot of hauntings are. Someone tells another person a legend about a ghost in the building, and pretty soon everyone is believing it. And since they believe it exists, then whenever they hear a noise or see a drawer they left open which they thought they closed, they blame it on a ghost.

People are highly succeptable to suggestion.

What about the extremely low bass frequency, or "brown note" that will cause you to have a bowel movement? I'd like that weapon.
