"Russian sounds" wad.

This is what i have in my wad collection. It is called SAI.WAD, whatever that means, and i got it together with Doom2 1.666 on a CD with a lot of other games(pirate) approx. in 1998 (I had Doom2 much earlier, but due to some reasons, i lost it from my HD in 1996). By the way, this CD's price was equal to 1 USD (i'm not kidding, after all, it is Russia :) ) Whatever, it was in dir with Doom2 and there also was a .bat called RUSDOOM.BAT which ran doom2.wad with a -file sai.wad parameter.
About the wad: it is a sound replacement wad, just HILARIOUS!!! Almost all sounds are replaced, examples:
-DSSHOTGN: after the shotgun blast, the doomguy says (all is translated from russian) "Got it?"
-When zombies see you they say: "Hands up, man!" or "That's it, you're dead" or "I'll kill you!"
-Zombies active sound is two distant voices saying "-hey, are you okay? -i've seen somebody recently!"
-Demons active sound is cartoon-like step sounds, like somebody is running. Funny.
-Imp active sound is usual DSBGACT with a saying "Hungry..Hungry.." mixed into it. Also hilarious.
-rocket shoot sound has a saying "Catch, catch!" after the shot.
-When imp sees you, he says "You're mine!" or just roars(a new sound, too)
-also the switch sound has a strange alarm after.
-When doomguy is hit, he says "oh..oh..damn" and when he dies, he says "I'll take revenge!"
and so on. Funny.

Also, whan i opened it in wintex there is a load of empty lumps named like "A" or "@/" or "GGG/" or "0". Probably it is some data incorrectly converted into lumps by wintex. (BTW, the file date is somewhere near 1995) I'll put it up when i'll be able.

BackFromTheDead, before you start asking for help on your new mega-cool-and-whatnot project, make sure you have something to show first (screenshots, map downloads, etc). Keep in mind we've already seen thousands of upcoming projects that actually never got done.

Omg, now I am getting tired of that tag, and I was even the guy who got julian to put on here. But people just fucking abuse it and make jokes with it...

Back on topic, i might have to hear it for myself but i have little patience for trying to find humour in languages that i don't understand (unless it's subtitled). My favourite comedy sound wad is the adam sandler wad and dmsounds.wad.

Back on topic, and a bit of allthewebbing later, the sound wad in question can be found here.

For the most part I hate sound wads with voice effects, but I have heard some pretty funny quips in them. Annoying to really use in-game, but they're funny to hear once.

Some of the ones I found more memorable/amusing in various wads:

- Player death sound - "Oh God, I'm pissed." (British accent)
- Gibbing sound - "That was fucking trippy."
- Chat sound - "You know, we could like, go to jail for this..." (Beavis and Butthead)
- Push on wall sound - "Knock, knock, you freak!" (Shadow Warrior voice)
- Item pickup sound - "All my precious porn!"
- Weapon pickup sound - "Oh, is this my Erozinator? No?"
- Weapon pickup sound - "The gun is good. The gun! The gun!" (From Zardoz. Pity it didn't include the rest of that quote. Oh well.)
- Baron of Hell sight sound - "Do you want to lick my balls?"
- Cacodemon death sound - "Like a great big pussy, you want to get fucked"
- Commander Keen death sound - "Oh, thank you very much. I'm shot in the face. How nice." (In a British accent)
- BFG firing sound - "I'm pissed off!"

i like that tag, i just dislike it being misused. which is about 90% of the time it's used.

If Wintex doesn't correctly show a wad's contents, try New Wad Tools or something else.

For example: When someone uses dmgraph or dmaud to create a pwad they always put about 500 entries all blank except for whatever you actually inserted. Then Wintex shows the contents of the wad all weird. But NWT handles it fine and then I use that to export all my resources to a fresh wad.

When a n00b is actually saying "Hey, someone make this mod for me," that's when you use it. No other time.

What kind of human are you?! Don't you watch cartoons?!

As a side note, almost the only thing I watch on TV is cartoons. I watch Simpsons and King of the Hill on weekdays after class and on weekends I go to my grandmother's house to watch Cartoon Network on cable.

I've taken a liking to Teen Titans, but I have to miss it this weekend, and it's going to be a good one too. =( Robin was forced to work for Slade or else his friends will die... Maybe someone can tell me what happens? =)

of course i don't watch cartoons. i don't have a TV here and i don't have cable or satelite or anything at home. hell at home i can barely even pick up some of the basic networks (i don't get CBS or FOX, and ABC and NBC lose sound every other minute or so).
