.:DartmerC:. Posted October 6, 2003 Hey, I'v heard bit and peices on people getting true 3d in DooM levels. I'v been working on it a bit, cant figure it out - if anyone has a tutorial or a link plz post, thanks. 0 Share this post Link to post
Sporku Posted October 6, 2003 The only ports I know that have "true" 3D floors are EDGE, Legacy, and Vavoom. There's a tutorial on how to do that on my site (here) 0 Share this post Link to post
Mordeth Posted October 6, 2003 To supplement: Eternity has its "3DMidTex" feature (non-clippable textures and Z-height checking for objects) and in the near future, as they told me, also some sort room-over-room effect. 0 Share this post Link to post
Gokuma Posted October 6, 2003 I think Vavoom is the only one with both true 3D floor over floor and slopes. ZDoom also has slopes but not the true 3D, but of course there are ways to fake it. 0 Share this post Link to post
The Ultimate DooMer Posted October 6, 2003 And there are even ways to fake 3D effects in vanilla DooM, too. 0 Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted October 6, 2003 I believe this is the relevant thread. IIRC, this method doesn't require Boom - it also works in Doom2.exe. 0 Share this post Link to post
.:DartmerC:. Posted October 7, 2003 Thanks all for your help, this forum seems like a great place 0 Share this post Link to post
Hirogen2 Posted October 7, 2003 Slopes are not really 3D, they are just a floor/ceiling modification. 0 Share this post Link to post

Nanami Posted October 7, 2003 Most people use close together mid textures and Bridge Objects to make things in ZDoom. For a pretty good example, check out Cyb's Helms Deep. 0 Share this post Link to post
