Editing on Linux

Cam you suggest me a good level editor for Linux.

There is Why for Linux, but on the site it says he currently has no Linux binaries for download. Maybe you can contact the author or compile it yourself. I dont really know of any others, there probably are, try looking here.

Hopefully DOOM Builder will get ported once the sources are released, if not to Linux then at least to Amiga OS PPC and or BeOS as Linux bugs me. :)

Lose that hope. The VB compilers for Linux that i heard of only compile simple projects. Its impossible to compile projects that use DirectX and/or other windows-related libraries directly for Linux. A lot of changes and recoding would be needed.

i think yadex is a fine editor. you might also want to try LDE, i haven't used it but it's worth a shot.

Yeah, Yadex is pretty nice, I used it to build some parts of my Freedoom map02.

I ya, I forgot you used VB, bummer. Guess I'm chained to winblows a while longer.

Thanks! I tried Why, but I found it too buggy and it lacks many usefull features. Yadex seems to be a nice editor. I haven't tried LDE yet because I don't have that library it uses, so I couldn't compile it.
