Remilia Scarlet Posted November 18, 2003 I guess about a five, depending on the light I'm in and the time of year. 0 Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted November 18, 2003 Probably a 3, or maybe 2. Quite pale (burn easily in the sun), but not as pale as, say, Scandinavians typically are. 0 Share this post Link to post
Erik Posted November 18, 2003 I'm really pale, even for being a swede. 0 Share this post Link to post
sargebaldy Posted November 18, 2003 Around 2, maybe a 3, pretty pale. Which works just fine for me. 0 Share this post Link to post
Naked Snake Posted November 18, 2003 You pale-ass mofos! GET SUN! I'm about a 4 right now, but when it gets to be about Spring or Summer, I'll probably be a 5. 0 Share this post Link to post
sargebaldy Posted November 18, 2003 Why? What are the benefits of being tan? (other than skin cancer) 0 Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted November 18, 2003 I assumed this question was about natural skin-colour, rather than what sort of suntan you currently have. Thus a 5 would be, e.g., someone with an olive complexion (mediterranean or middle eastern, etc.), rather than a northern European type who has spent a lot of time under a sunlamp or on a beach. 0 Share this post Link to post
cycloid Posted November 18, 2003 2: slightly yellow at times (long term kidney poorlyness) at other times pinkish with white speckles (bizzare circulation / capillaries) possible blue tinge from a distance due to veins sticking out. which doctors really like <inject> that all makes me sound a bit, er, ill. i'm not. really 0 Share this post Link to post
DooMBoy Posted November 18, 2003 Heh, maybe a 2 or 3. I might even be a 4 under the correct lighting. :P 0 Share this post Link to post
Remilia Scarlet Posted November 18, 2003 Given Fredrik's new chart, I'm more of a 6 to 7 depending on the light. Darker than I thought I was... 0 Share this post Link to post

Enjay Posted November 18, 2003 heh, and I thought this thread was going to be about player colours and skins in doom. :-) Oh, and 2 BTW. 0 Share this post Link to post

Scuba Steve Posted November 18, 2003 sargebaldy said:Why? What are the benefits of being tan? (other than skin cancer) Um, it's completely dependent on locale. Different Skintones are adaptive for different environmtans. Lighter skn is useful in colder regions where it provides added absorption of Vitamin C, because of lack of sunlight. Darker skin is useful in prevention of sun burn and heat in more intense regions, like the equator. Not that it really matters anymore. Humans have adapted to live in any environment. 0 Share this post Link to post
