Mivalekan Posted December 12, 2003 Does anyone know where I could get the latest version of Zdoom? Maybe i can get Daedalus working with it ;/ 0 Share this post Link to post
Ichor Posted December 12, 2003 Try here. It says in the text file that it requires this version or above, so it's no wonder that you couldn't get it to work. 0 Share this post Link to post
Mogul Posted December 12, 2003 Just in case you want to know, running Daedalus is very simple with Zdoom. Make sure there's a DOOM2.WAD in your Zdoom directory, then, either drag the Daedalus.wad into the zdoom.exe or, create a shortcut of zdoom.exe with the extended command line "-file daedalus.wad", sans quotations of course. Easy. 0 Share this post Link to post
deathbringer Posted December 13, 2003 Or do as i do and have zdoom.exe in the same directory as your iwad(s), and put daedalus in there, then create a text file saying zdoom.exe -file daed.wad (or whatever its called) then save it with a .bat extension and run it I AM A MORON I AM A MORON 0 Share this post Link to post
Isle Posted December 13, 2003 you can allso just drag+drop the .wad on zdoom.exe 0 Share this post Link to post
cyber-menace Posted December 19, 2003 heh drag and drop is the ultimate way to go *smacks self for saying heh* 0 Share this post Link to post
Vegeta Posted December 19, 2003 I can't make Daedalus work (for other reasons). Does it really have new monsters? If so, how are they? 0 Share this post Link to post
cyber-menace Posted December 19, 2003 Remember you need Zdoom 2.60 and you must use Doom2.wad as your IWAD and Daedulus must be added while starting Zdoom. This should get it working 100%. 0 Share this post Link to post
Negostrike Posted December 19, 2003 I'm using Skulltag to play Daedalus. Skulltag was created using ZDoom as base, so Daedalus runs great on it. 0 Share this post Link to post

Grazza Posted December 19, 2003 There is at least one new monster - a small one that you encounter in the Finale. I didn't mention it in my review or give it in a screenshot because I thought the TeamTNT guys might have wanted it kept a secret. 0 Share this post Link to post

deathbringer Posted December 22, 2003 If you have the latest version of zdoom it will only crash in the travel tubes, not at the start, so you get a chance to see beyond the first room at least 0 Share this post Link to post
