cd burning

Recommended Posts

normaly i use k3b for linux and burn4free in windows.

i just installed a cd burner in my cousin's computer. i tried installing burn4free but it requires win98SE and above. i went to nero, a 22MB file.

anything out there that is simple, small and preferably freeware? or anyway to get burn4free to work on win98 (first edition)

Doesn't the burner come bundled with free burning software? Most do.

Barring that I would do a search at either zdnet.com or cnet.com for burning software. They have a number of them.

What OS is your cousin running? 95? Maybe he should invest in a better OS, however I use Roxio. It came with my computer, I don't know it's requiremens, or if it's free or not.

I set my system clock back to February to use a demo of Nero indefinately.

Adaptec CD Creator came with my drive but kind of sucks. It freezes trying to burn audio CDs except for straight copying of discs which it also kind of sucks at. I just use it for burning backups of files.

nero was too big, 22 MB i think, to download with a 36K connection, bad ISP.
she can deal with it
