Midi making people,Where do you get your programs?

Yo for the people who make their own midis,List where u got ur programs from and please dont say the store.Ive been toying around with pro-53 and i like the demo,i just dont wanna pay one.

Oh, and you'll want to get the MID2MUS util from this site. That is, if you want to do what I think you want to do. But I'm sure you already have that covered.

Well unfournately jazz crashed Internet explorer while i was dling it,and Cakewalk still doesnt allow recording.

This demo version has the following restrictions:

Saving is disabled
Printing is disabled
Putting data on the Windows clipboard is disabled
File | Send (email) is disabled
Export audio is disabled
ACID file export is disabled
MIDI Groove Clip export is disabled
Export video is disabled
Offline audio and MIDI effects (i.e., Process | Audio Effects, MIDI Effects) is disabled
Integrated time/pitch stretching of audio is disabled
Saving effect presets is disabled
Bounce to Clip(s) is disabled
Bounce to Track(s) is disabled
Groove Quantize export is disabled
Launching 3rd party wave editors from the Tools menu is disabled
Tools | Clean Audio Folder is disabled
No VST-DX Adapter

When I had access to a Win98 computer, I used Voyetra Digital Orchestrator Pro. It cost $100, though.

I think the demo is a 30 day type of thing.

But if all you want it MIDI and no digital audio, they have a record producer version that only does MIDI, and last I checked, it was like $20.

I've used this program for many many years, and it's by far the easiest I've ever used.

I use Cakewalk Home Studio (an old version, apparently for Windows 3.1 but works in Windows XP as well). I got it with a MIDI keyboard which I've stopped using. Newer versions of Cakewalk are available in stores and there are demo versions on the Cakewalk website. I use a SoundBlaster Audigy soundcard that works decently.
