doom keeps inspiring people to do destructive and insane things, sounds great.

I wouldn't exactly call it destructive. Maybe wasteful.

I'd rather get a virus than have a school shooting happen.

Seriously, no way I'd do that. I'm not insane, pathetic, lame or hateful enough for that. :) Didn't get 100000 hits either, more like 27600. It stopped when my page didn't show up as #1 when you Google'd "mydoom".
