Uploading to FTP sites

I'd like to get access to an FTP server so I can upload some files I can show around... I have AOL, AOL's FTP feature won't let me upload files anywhere. What can I do?

First piece of advice, get rid of AOL.

Second, AceFTP is a good FTP program.

Well, I'd like to, but I'm not exactly paying for it so I figure I won't complain :)

I sure as hell would. Live at home? Tell...no...demand your folks get a normal ISP.

Smartftp is pretty good too.

I use WS_FTP.

I normally use WS_FTP, but it freezes trying to log into 3D Downloads so I use SSH Secure FileTransfer/Shell Client for that.

What OS are you using? Win2k and later has FTP functions built into Explorer.

AOL is complete junk, worst ISP ever. tell your folks to get REAL isp, and you may even save them a bit of cash

use an external ftp program, NEVER use anything AOL.
