stealth Posted February 5, 2004 I recently bought a GeForce FX 5900 and when I popped it in and ran some games (CoD, UT2K3) with the settings pretty high, no FSAA or AF, the games ran at about 30-40 fps. I felt lied too.... But about 2 or 3 days later I noticed it would run faster and faster and smoother. I turned it on 4xFSAA and 4xAF ran some games and it hit no less than 50 fps. Now I was wondering if this is because the card has to "warm up" or something along those lines. If anyone could clue me in, I'd be most appreciative. 0 Share this post Link to post
SyntherAugustus Posted February 5, 2004 Those are low. I suggest you try getting the latest drivers. 0 Share this post Link to post
stealth Posted February 5, 2004 I have the latest nVidia ForceWare 53.03 drivers, and they really sweetened up performance. And I only have 256MB mem, it's not too bad, but I'm sure now it's why I'm hitting only 40-60fps with bots. 0 Share this post Link to post
auxois Posted February 14, 2004 Heh. Memory isn't as much of a limitation for bots as processor speed is. Check your system resources, too. Blah-di-blah. 0 Share this post Link to post
