what do you think is the worst internet fad today?

my list

spyware/spam/pop-ups - large annoyance and causes too many problems to list

AOL and AOL chatrooms- next to spyware and such this truely is the death of the internet. A/S/L please, give up you damn perverts!

flash/animations/bright colors - by them selves they seem cool, but no so when a site is filled to the brim with them.

furry porn/ hentie tentical rape - find me a more twisted and sick group of people and i'll personaly press the button to nuke earth.

Of course everyone hate spam and spy-ware. I hope that in an enlightened future there will be international conventions condemning this kind of advertising.

Pop-up ads is a necessary evil.



While I don't have any deathwish against the hordes of AOL kids that clutter the web I sincerely hope that that the AOL-speek either dies or matures enough to be a vessel of actual meaning.


Right now AOL-speek seems to be a slang language that not even the speakers understand.

Mary-Kate and Ashley site count as pop culture or sick fetishes?
Pop-ups should burn and die and burn some more.

-Any website/saying/anything created out of sheer stupidity that becomes famous enough to be mentioned on CNN. The "Gay Bar" song and "fanmutations"(or whatever the hell they're called) seem to be coming up all over the place.
-Every time I see the word "teh" typed, I lose a brain cell.

On the flip side, I enjoy looking at tentacle rape.

Many of the listed plus other, and especially AOL/AOL Users. They don't know a damn thing about the internet, and get all upset when "it breaks." They are too stupid to see AOL is ripping them off.

1. AOL is a sucky browser
2. All of AOL's "special features" such as stock quotes and personal homepages can be found FOR FREE so many other places
3. It costs WAY too much, considering browsers such as IE, Netscape, Opera, and Mozzilla are free
4. AOL compresses every image as .art
5. You have too pay extra to use Cable/DSL (they say that they'll tell you if their's a call on your line; thanks but I'd rather take the call while online)
6. They have annoying pop culture teen-centered ads, which as a teenage geek, I find annoying that we're all grouped into Bitchny Spears loving pop culture fuck-offs.
